What are redirects in website

sometimes website owner shifts one page to another page of his website or to any page of another website or he just wants to do this without shifting or need then he use redirect 301 or 302 to move his visitor to a new location. URL redirection, also called URL forwarding, is a World Wide Web technique for making a web page available under more than one URL address. When a web browser attempts to open a URL that has been redirected, a page with a different URL is opened.


What are 301 and 302 redirects | difference between 301 and 302 redirect

A 301 redirect means that web page has been permanently moved to a new location or a page. A 302 redirect means that the web page move is temporary and it can be back anytime. It tells Search engines to keep the old page or replace it with the one found at the new location.
